HEAT TREATMENT IN TEMPORARY FURNACES

Heat treatment for large objects, such as pressure vessels, boiler parts, and off-shore components, must often be carried out at the manufacturing site due to transport challenges and costs.

Heatmasters’ temporary furnaces are constructed using modular insulated panels, which means the size of the furnace is easily customized and they can be quickly erected almost anywhere, outside or inside a manufacturing plant. Typically, furnaces are gas-fired with several 500kW and 1MW burners, which means there are no power supply limitations even when heating large objects.

A typical modular temporary furnace solution includes assembly, one or several heat treatments, and disassembly. And naturally, the entire heating process is accurately controlled and documented using our innovative temperature control system.
